Is there a path to nowhere?
I've been on all of them
Some teachers say the shadow can be a door to awakening and others will shoot the messenger – there is no self to awaken! I’ve been communicating with several teachers (and non-teachers) – because who is there to teach? Some say that shadow work is inevitable, either before or after, there is no contracted ‘self’, and some laugh at the absurdity, which is correct in a ‘there is no truth’ world?
I’ve been on a shadow-revealing journey for 3 years, stripping layer after layer after layer. From shamanic practitioner healing and training to Demartini belief smashing emotional breakthroughs of shame, guilt, rejection and immense pride and ego! That shadow work ‘led’ ‘me’ to seek deeper … there must be more.
The seeking was relentless – Angelo Dilullo, Adyashanti and Rupert Spira – each with a different style and message, all from oneness or isness and most with a subtle trap of ‘getting somewhere’ or ‘I must have more shadow work to do’.
The first glimpses arrived with the seeing of no-self, of no-thing, of the absurdity and hilarity over our concepts and beliefs … but the self sneaks back in like a sneaky little fucker claiming glimpses!!
And in enters Tony Parsons, who slaps us with ‘there is no one to be broken’, no one to fix, no one to awaken … STOP IT. This message resonates.
The healing journey? Grace, indeed, but completely unnecessary. There is no path, all valid in the illusion, but not necessary at all. More absurdity, preparing and seeking for something that’s here. A good slap is what is needed, the belief claims …
Shadow work was grace; there was enjoyment and release of emotions. Slaps by Tony were grace too, but none of it was mine … more laughter.
What’s left? No teachers, no students, no path, no-thing. No steps.
The arrogance of the self is astounding, the conviction that we are required in any way to influence the story. There are no paths, but I’ve walked many of them!
Anarchy. Freedom. Absurdity. Laughter.
With Grace
